Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mughdo was seen on a video running amidst the violence centering quota reform movement just 15 minutes before he was shot dead on July 18 in Uttara. He was distributing food and water to the protesters when he was fatally shot. His last words were “Paani lagbe paani” (need water), reflecting the desperate situation of the protesters.
Mughdo’s death is remembered as an important event in the quota reform movement.
Short Biography:
Mir Mughdo was born in 1998 in Dhaka. From a young age, Mugdho always spoke up against injustice. He was a unit leader in the Armed Police Battalion Scout group and achieved the “National Service Award” from Bangladesh Scouts for his role in rescuing and evacuating people during the 2019 Banani fire.
Beyond his humanitarian efforts, Mughdo was also a dedicated student. After completing his undergraduate degree in the Mathematics department of Khulna University, he got admitted to Bangladesh University of Professionals this March for his MBA. His academic achievements were a testament to his intelligence and hard work.
In addition to his studies, Mughdo had built a successful career as a freelancer. His expertise in SEO and social media marketing allowed him to help clients from around the world improve their online presence. His dedication and skills earned him a reputation as a reliable and talented professional within the Fiverr community.
