Digital outlet Dhaka Times reporter Mehedi Hasan was killed while covering a clash between the police and protesting students demanding quota reform in government jobs at Jatrabari of Bangladesh capital Dhaka on Thursday.
Dhaka Times editor Ariufur Rahman Dolon told New Age that Mehedi was killed by receiving a bullet in his head while covering a clash at Jatrabari in Dhaka. He said that Mehedi’s body was now kept in Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Mehedi leaves behind his wife and two daughters.
