Junayed Khan Rahat, a student of the Accounting Department at Chattogram University, was shot in the neck during the quota reform protests. Despite the severe injury, he survived and is now recovering.
Rahat was actively involved in the protests against the quota system, which he believed was unfair and discriminatory. During a clash with police and ruling party supporters, he was shot in the neck. Doctors have said that the bullet was millimeters away from causing fatal injuries.
Rahat believes that the quota system was unjust and deprived many deserving students of opportunities. He is grateful for the support he received during the protests and hopes that the government will implement reforms to ensure a fair education system.
Short Biography:
Junayed Khan Rahat is the son of late Nurul Haque and Jannat Ara from Ward No. 8 of Chakaria Municipality, Cox’s Bazar district. He has four sisters and one brother.
