Imran Hosain

Imran Hossain lost his leg after being shot by police during the anti-discrimination student protests in Dhaka. On July 19, 2024, while returning home from work around 7 PM, he was walking through Mirpur-10 when police opened fire to suppress the protests. A bullet struck Imran’s right leg. He was taken to Alok Hospital for initial treatment and later transferred to Pangu Hospital in Dhaka. Despite receiving medical care for over a month, his leg could not be saved and had to be amputated.
