Abdullah Shafil, a first-year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at Northern University, Khulna, lost his sight in one eye after being shot during recent anti-quota protests. While participating in the protests in Khulna, Shafil was hit by a bullet that severely damaged his left eye. Despite multiple surgeries, his vision could not be restored.

Short Biography:
Shafil is a resident of Sonadanga, Khulna, and hails from a humble family. His father is a fishmonger. The family is struggling to afford the expensive medical treatment required for Shafil’s eye injury.

Event Details:
During the height of the protests on August 2, Shafil and his fellow students were involved in a clash with the police. The police resorted to using rubber bullets and shotguns to disperse the crowd. A stray bullet hit Shafil in the eye, causing severe damage.
