Mahin Uddin, a college student from Faridganj upazila in Chandpur district, was injured during recent anti-quota protests. After being shot by the police, he was initially treated at a local hospital but later transferred to Rajarbagh Police Hospital in Dhaka for advanced medical care.
The decision to transfer Mahin to a better-equipped hospital came after the Chandpur Police Superintendent intervened. The police arranged for an ambulance to transport Mahin and his father to Dhaka.
Mahin, a 12th-grade commerce student at Kalir Bazar College, was actively involved in the protests. He was shot during a clash between protesters and law enforcement in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. Despite seeking medical attention immediately after the incident, the bullet remained lodged in his body.
The police’s intervention in providing Mahin with advanced medical care has been praised by locals and the victim’s family. The incident highlights the challenges faced by individuals injured during political protests and the importance of timely medical intervention.
Short Biography:
Mahin Uddin is the son of Moktar Hossain from Santospur village, Chardukhia East Union, Faridganj Upazila. Mahin is the eldest of Moktar Hossain’s three children. He is a class twelve commerce student at Kalir Bazar College
